Bank of Baroda (U) Ltd., popularly known as ‘BARODA’ started its operation in Uganda on 18th December 1953 with opening of its first branch in Kampala.

The Bank was the first financial institution to be listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE). The Bank has been on a State of the IT platform ‘CBS-Finacle’ which is very sound, robust, secured and proven technology.

All Branches are inter-connected. The customer is no longer a customer of a particular branch but has truly become a customer of the Bank by availing banking services from any branch.

In the recent past, the Bank has put in place many technology driven products for the customer convenience. Various deposit and loan products have been synchronized in tune with market needs and technology like RTGS, EFT etc including ‘RAPDFUNDS2INDIA’ product for fastest and secured money transfer to India.
