PostBank Uganda Ltd (PBU) was born out of the restructuring of the Uganda Posts and Telecommunications under the Communications Act of 1997 to take over the operations of the former Post Office Savings Department which had been in existence since 1926.
PostBank Uganda was incorporated in February 1998 as a Limited Liability Company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. Postbank is a financial institution regulated by Bank of Uganda.
PostBank currently has 35 branches supported by 9 mobile banking vans with an operational presence in over 47 districts. As at end 2014, two new branches of Bweyale and Anaka were fully operational. Our branch network is also supplemented by point of sale machines and a number of authorized cash points across the country. Our regional network aims to keep closer to our customers, availing financial solutions for their empowerment.
The regional branches have the full support and backing of the PostBank head office in Kampala, with frequent rotation of specialist staff who ensure that our PostBank branches meet the financial needs and expectations of our customers country-wide.
